ARIES: the gladiator

” It’s futile and hazardous trying to hide Aries’ positive attitude or arresting ardor. Not only because Rams are so white hot and amazing, but because they can’t hide anything (and they hate when people hide things from them). Smokescreens require graceful deception. And no Aries is famous for being particularly graceful or deceptive. But they are well-known for their legendary drive and ground-breaking ideas. And there is a reason why the astrological universe considers most Rams to be hotheaded action addicts. They’ve got spirit, yes they do. And they’ve got to express that strong-willed red-hot enthusiasm that is so infectious and honest it incinerates anything it reaches, including any doubt or worry that may cloud over them. But their phenomena of faith only takes place when Aries are fighting for a cause near and dear to their hearts. Otherwise they’re just needlessly taking on the world. When Rams are motivated or equally pissed off, they are unstoppable. And they will rally followers like a meth-head cheerleader or murderous lunatic (both have pure, though conflicting intentions). Aries moves at full speed so they can move on to the next challenge, the next crusade. And though their high-octane methodology for life and love comes across impulsive and inconsiderate, it is not meant to. Rams animate and enliven everything they touch, bringing brio and zip into the banality of the everyday…”

This is an intro from ARIES: the gladiator, the first chapter of my astrology anthology, The Zodiac Abstract. And what separates this ebook from the rest? Well, it is more than just a sun sign description. My aim was to provide information pertaining to every Aries placement (sun, moon, venus, mercury, mars, and the ascendant), while still making everything easy to read for both astrology newbies and devotees. Here’s a quick run-through of what you’ll encounter:

The first section I describe the physical characteristics and style preferences of Aries. Following that is the GUTS section, where I describe every basic quality of the sign, how Rams think, speak, and act, and also what hobbies and occupations they are drawn to. Next I’ll explain the meaning of Aries’ animal and planetary symbols by way of myths in the GLYPH section. Lastly, I expose the bad habits and negative expressions of the fire sign’s aforementioned ‘good side’ and the damage Rams can cause in the GRIEF section.
